Ontario place

Toronto, 2026

"A park for the people", the Ontario Place opened its doors in 1971, entertaining its visitors with futuristic designs and attractions. As future turned into present and vision into anachronism, its fortunes declined. 
The question "what are we going to do with the place" dominated the 2010's, turning it into a political hot potato in the early 2020's. The plan to build a glitzy spa rather than making it accessible to the public has, unsurprisingly, prevailed. 
Victory of the loonie. Unfortunately, not the feathered kind.
